CAS Sport Report - Term 1, Round 6

Round 6 against Peter Moyes marked another successful week for Junior CAS teams, with an impressive nine wins and a draw out of 11 games. Knowing Peter Moyes' talent, the matches were anticipated to be thrilling and competitive.

Indoor Cricket / Indoor Beach Volleyball: Indoor Cricket and Indoor Beach Volleyball both secured fantastic victories. Indoor Cricket, with only a practice match remaining next week, has clinched the CAS Champions title! It's been an outstanding season for Mr Browner's team. Meanwhile, Indoor Beach Volleyball is back on track after a great win, positioning themselves for a shot at second place in this exciting season.

Boys Basketball: The Year 9 boys' basketball team had a busy week with two games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite the packed schedule, they delivered two outstanding performances, securing victories in both matches. These wins have positioned them well for a top-three finish. Additionally, our Year 7 boys celebrated a great win, while our Year 8 boys, who have been close in numerous games, continue to show resilience and determination. Their hard work is commendable, and perhaps this week will be their breakthrough.

Girls Basketball: More wins for our girls with four great wins. The fourth win was actually a draw, with our Year 8s finishing tied in a top-of-the-table clash. This was after three minutes of overtime showcasing the girls' determination and skill. What a remarkable achievement!

Girls Touch Rugby – In Girls Touch Rugby, despite a slow start, the team adapted and played with structured precision. With an upcoming forfeit in the next week, they conclude the season undefeated, a testament to their skill and teamwork

Year 7-8 Cricket: The boys had a bye but will be back next week for their finale!
