Our Executive Team

The ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's Executive Team provides thoughtful leadership, guiding our school's vision and direction.

With their collective expertise and international experience, they ensure excellence in teaching and learning and in turn, empower students to reach their full potential. Valuing lifelong learning and innovation, our leaders keep up with latest educational research.

Together they foster a supportive and inclusive community environment. Open communication and collaboration being key, they seek to involve parents, students, and staff in decision-making.

The team's dedication and passion is palpable, with each leader serving as a role model to our students. Their guidance inspires students to become thoughtful leaders themselves, who go on to have a positive impact in the world.

Principal: Steven Davies

Mr Steven Davies joined ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's in August 2018. Prior to joining ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's, Mr Davies was the Dean of Student Wellbeing at All Saints’ College, Bull Creek. Mr Davies completed an Applied Science Degree in Chemistry in 1982. He then combined working as a Chemist (Industrial/Analytical) with overseas travel before completing a Graduate Diploma in Education.

His Science teaching career began with the Education Department at Forrestfield SHS, followed by a teacher exchange to Orkney, Scotland, before returning to Armadale SHS. His independent school career commenced at All Saints’ College in 1995 where, as a Science/Chemistry teacher, and as a Head of House, he developed a strong interest in pastoral care of students.

In 2008 Steven was appointed Head of Senior School (Years 10-12) at Tranby College and after six years he returned to All Saints’ College to take up an executive position as Dean of Student Wellbeing. In July 2016 he was appointed for twelve months as Acting Vice Principal, which included a period as Acting Principal, providing valuable leadership experience in high-level operational and strategic matters.

Deputy Principal: Roseanne Madden

Ms Roseanne Madden joined ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's in 2020, from Servite College, where her substantive role was as the Deputy Principal of Teaching and Learning, as well as filling the role of Acting Vice Principal of the College in 2019.

Roseanne has brought a wealth of experience to ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's, including in curriculum growth and development, leadership and strategic direction. Roseanne is focused on implementing strategies that support each student to thrive in their learning and personal development, and to create a sense of belonging and connection, which are essential elements in building resilience.

Head of Senior School: Kelly Nebel

Ms Kelly Nebel commenced at ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's in January 2016 as Head of Science. Prior to that, she was Head of Science and Head of Year at Penrhos College from 2005 to 2015. At ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ’s, she has held positions including Deputy Head of Senior School and Head of Senior School (Acting) and Chair of the Innovation Committee. Kelly has a proactive approach to building strong, positive relationships with members of our School community and is dedicated to supporting the holistic development of the whole child.

Head of Middle School: John Stewart

Mr John Stewart has been an educator for over 30 years and a leader of schools in the UK and Australia for 29 years. Most recently, he worked at Prince Alfred College in Adelaide, and Scotch College here in Perth. Previously associated with the Anglican Schools Commission as Head of the John Wollaston Anglican Community School's Junior School.

Head of Primary School: Mark Douglas

Mr Mark Douglas joined ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's in January 2022. Mark was previously the Head of Junior School at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, a co-educational school in northern New South Wales. Prior to his time at Lindisfarne, Mark was Head of Junior School at Ipswich Grammar School, and also spent his first four years of school executive leadership as the Head of Junior School at Great Southern Grammar. Mark's educational philosophy is centred around positive relationships, high expectations and a whole-hearted belief that school should be a successful experience for all students.

Chaplain: Revd. Scott Rowland

Revd Scott Rowland grew up in Sydney, studied at the University of Sydney and the University of New England. He worked in boys' boarding schools while studying and working in Christian ministry in universities. Moving to Perth in 1995, Scott taught geography and economics up to TEE level for a number of years before training for ordained Anglican ministry. He began working at ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ’s teaching Christian Studies during his ordination training, before being appointed Chaplain in 2007.

Business Manager: Carolyn Gray

Mrs Carolyn Gray was appointed as the School’s Business Manager in August 2016, after joining ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ’s as the School Accountant in 2014. Growing up in Melbourne, she graduated from Swinburne University, conveniently located across the road from the training ground of her beloved Hawks. As a Chartered Accountant Carolyn has developed a broad range of Australian and international experience in both professional practice and commercial financial management through roles with Ernst & Young, Rio Tinto, Cable & Wireless (UK), Oyster Consulting and more recently her own accounting and taxation practice.

School Council

³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ's Anglican Community School is governed by a Council of representatives from the Anglican Church, Parents and Friends' Association, and Old Scholars' Association. The Council oversees the school's development and management, with the Principal reporting to them monthly. The School operates within the budget approved by the Anglican Schools Commission. ³ÉÈ˶ÌƬ’s was established with the aim of making an Anglican education accessible to all families by keeping fees as low as possible whilst maintaining strong opportunities for students.

The Anglican Schools Commission

The oversees 15 Anglican Schools in Western Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales. These low-fee, co-educational schools provide exceptional teaching and learning within a caring, Christian environment. Each school has its own strengths and specialist programs, while sharing common values of faith, excellence, justice, respect, integrity, and diversity. The ASC serves as the headquarters, supporting existing schools and exploring new opportunities for low-fee Anglican schools in high-demand areas.
