CAS Sport Report - Term 1, Round 7

The Junior CAS Term 1 season concluded with matches against St James' Anglican School. Despite a few forfeits, which led to fewer games, the excitement and energy on the field remained unstoppable.

Indoor Cricket: Overall Finish = 1st

Indoor Beach Volleyball: Overall Finish = 3rd

Both teams experienced a setback this round with forfeits, which was disappointing. However, demonstrating the enthusiasm of both sides, they arranged matches amongst themselves. Since the venues were already booked, there was no intention to let them go unused. The teams engaged in fun scratch matches, with a few younger students stepping in to ensure a fantastic end to the season.

Boys Basketball: Only the Year 7 and 8 boys took the court in the final round and secured two hard-earned victories. A standout moment was the impressive performance of our Year 8 team, whose dedication and hard work in training paid off with a well-deserved win.

Girls Basketball: Our girls had a mixed outcome, with our Year 8 team claiming a victory to secure the top position on the ladder. Meanwhile, our Year 7 girls put up a spirited fight but narrowly lost a thrilling match against St James in an entertaining showdown.

Girls Touch Rugby: Despite facing a forfeit, our team concluded the season undefeated!

Year 7-8 Cricket: The boys wrapped up the season with an excellent game. With some players filling in for Indoor, this provided more opportunities for everyone, which the boys made the most of.
